| "Rory" |
| Rory is my own female Pharaoh Hound, born April 7, 2008, and we've been extremely successful in the show ring! She won her Sweepstakes class at Nationals at just barely 6 months old, and went on to get her first point at 10 months old. She finished easily at 17 months old by winning her first major (4pts) at the Western Regional Specialty and following that up with her second major (5pts) at the Pharaoh Hound Club of America's National Specialty. The very next weekend (September 13, 2009) she won the Hound Group at the Prescott Arizona Kennel Club show under Judge Col. Joe B. Purkhiser . In 2010, Rory won the Hound Group back to back at the Tucson shows in March, as well as at the Roswell, NM show in September. She was the #1 Pharaoh Hound Bitch in the country according to Canine Chronicle All Breed Standings for 2010. Rory also won the Pharaoh Hound Club of America's Western Regional Specialty show on April 15, 2011 under Judge Mrs. Helen Winski Stein (shown above)! I am also competing with Rory in lure coursing (she just needs one more major to finish her championship), obedience (she has her BN (Beginner Novice) title and one leg toward her CD so far), and Rally (she has her Rally Advanced and will be starting on her Rally Excellent soon). |
