Beginning Group Classes are taught at All Star Animal
Hospital (16772 W. Bell Road), and near 59th Avenue &
Cactus in Glendale, AZ. Classes are open to all breeds and all
ages of dogs and class size generally ranges from 5 dogs to 12
dogs. The first class is spent discussing behavior problem
solving techniques (for such problems as housebreaking,
chewing, digging, jumping, barking, etc.) as well as an overview
of the course. During the following weeks, you will learn how
to teach your dog basic on-leash commands such as heel, sit,
stay, down, and come. All ages are welcome, but puppies must
have completed at least two sets of vaccinations and have a
veterinarian's approval if they are not finished with their
puppy series yet. Any dog that has aggression issues must be
discussed with the trainer prior to the first night of class.

Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 7:00 PM (16772 W. Bell Rd.)
Conformation Classes get you and your dog ready to show in
the AKC and/or UKC conformation ring. We'll practice
stacking, moving, and going over the dogs. All breeds and ages
are welcome! Experienced as well as brand new handlers are
welcome!

Rally Group Classes are for dogs and owners that have
completed Basic classes (or the equivalent at another training
facility). We will continue to work on the basic obedience
commands while increasing duration, distance and distraction
levels. You will also be introduced to the AKC sport of Rally
Obedience, which is an "obstacle course of obedience
commands" - it's a fun way to introduce your dog to the world
of competitive obedience, and a great way to sharpen their
skills for everyday life!

Private Lessons are available in your home (or a location of
your choosing) for clients in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe,
Glendale, Peoria, and Surprise (please call for availability).
Lessons last approximately one hour and can be tailored to fit
your needs. Private lessons are what we generally
recommend for any aggression issues and for puppies too
young to attend group classes. We strongly recommend
following private lessons up with group classes. (Private
lessons can also be given at my home (near 59th Avenue &
Cactus in Glendale, AZ) in certain cases - if this option is
recommended for your dog, each lesson is $50/hour.)
Board & Train is an option that is available in selected
cases only. Please call to discuss your specific situation if you
feel this is the route you would like to take. For this type of
training, your dog would come and live in my house during
training -- once the training is complete, you will be given a
detailed diary of what your dog has learned and be taught how
to continue training him/her. This type of training will ONLY
work if you continue the training on your own exactly as you
are instructed to do. Dogs are intelligent creatures that
tend to learn very quickly what they can get away with...if you
send your dog away for training, but do not change what you
are doing at home, the dog will almost always fall back into
bad habits when it returns. Starting price for this service is
$750 for two weeks of boarding/training, which will also
include one private lesson when your dog is returned to you.
