Group classes (6 week sessions) $90.00 per dog Private Lessons $75.00/hour (one dog) Board & Train starting at $50.00/day Group Classes are taught at The Stock Shop (6615 W. Thunderbird Ave.) in Glendale, AZ. Classes meet on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. We will begin group classes again in the fall when it cools off a bit - please check back for starting dates. Private lessons are available during the summer. Classes are open to all breeds and all ages of dogs and class size ranges from 5 dogs to 15 dogs. The first class is spent discussing behavior problem solving techniques (for such problems as housebreaking, chewing, digging, jumping, barking, etc.) as well as an overview of the course. During the following weeks, you will learn how to teach your dog basic on-leash commands such as heel, sit, stay, down, and come. All ages are welcome, but puppies must have completed at least two series of vaccinations and have veterinarian's approval if they are not finished with their puppy series yet. Any dog that has aggression issues must be discussed with the trainer prior to the first night of class. Once you complete a group session with us, you are welcome to repeat it at no charge with the same dog as many times as you like. Private Lessons are available in your home (or a location of your choosing) for clients in the central, north, and west valley (please call for availability). Lessons last approximately one hour and can be tailored to fit your needs. Private lessons are what we generally recommend for any aggression issues and for puppies too young to attend group classes. We strongly recommend following private lessons up with a few group classes, and if you have completed four private lessons with us, those group classes are provided at no charge. Board & Train is an option that is available in selected cases only. Please call to discuss your specific situation if you feel this is the route you would like to take. For this type of training, your dog would come and live in my house during training -- once the training is complete, you will be given a detailed diary of what your dog has learned and be taught how to continue training him/her. This type of training will ONLY work if you continue the training on your own exactly as you are instructed to do. Dogs are intelligent creatures that tend to learn very quickly what they can get away with...if you send your dog away for training, but do not change what you are doing at home, the dog will almost always fall back into bad habits when it returns. |
